Description
Dualtron Aminia: Special or Long Body
The Dualtron Aminia is offered in two chassis formats. Special uses a single 900 W nominal hub motor and weighs approximately 25.6 kg. Long Body uses two 900 W nominal hub motors, giving 1,800 W combined nominal power, and weighs approximately 30 kg.
The difference also matters when choosing where to store the scooter. Special measures 1160 × 620 × 1190 mm unfolded; Long Body measures 1250 × 620 × 1200 mm. Folded dimensions are 1240 × 270 × 380 mm and 1255 × 270 × 380 mm respectively. Check these measurements against your available space and allow for the weight when lifting.
The manual lists a speed of 25 km/h for both formats and maximum gradients of approximately 26.8% (15°) for Special and 46.6% (25°) for Long Body. Climbing performance depends on rider weight, battery charge, temperature and the surface. Both versions have a maximum load of 120 kg, including the rider and anything carried.
Choose the battery around the distance
Four battery configurations let you choose the Dualtron Aminia around the distance you need. Special is available with a 52 V 13 Ah battery offering up to 46 km theoretical range, or a 52 V 17.5 Ah Samsung battery offering up to 60 km. Long Body pairs its dual-motor chassis with a 52 V 15.6 Ah battery for up to 50 km, or a 52 V 21 Ah Samsung battery for up to 65 km.
The specified charger is rated at 58.1 V 2 A. Estimated charging times are approximately 6.5 hours for 13 Ah, 9 hours for 17.5 Ah, 8 hours for 15.6 Ah and 10.5 hours for 21 Ah. Actual charging time varies with the starting charge and conditions.
The manual’s theoretical range figures were measured with a full battery, a 75 kg load, an ambient temperature of 25°C and an average speed of 25 km/h on pavement. Speed, hills, rider weight, temperature and tyre pressure affect the distance available. Keep a reserve when planning a return journey.
Comfort built into a compact platform
The Dualtron Aminia combines 9-inch tubeless tyres with spring-and-rubber suspension at the front and rear. The suspension provides movement at both wheels to help absorb surface irregularities, while the tyre format keeps the scooter compact. The manual specifies a tyre pressure of 50 psi; check pressure and tyre condition regularly.
Front and rear drum brakes work alongside ABS/EBS electronic braking functions. Separate brake controls let the rider manage braking at each wheel. Regular inspection and adjustment remain part of routine care, even with the brake mechanisms enclosed inside the drums.
The manual lists an IP55 protection rating for the entire vehicle. This is limited resistance to dust and water jets, not waterproofing. Avoid immersion and follow the manual’s precautions around water. The Long Body’s longer wheelbase and chassis provide more space than Special, so consider both the riding position and storage dimensions when choosing your format.
The controls and equipment you use every ride
The Dualtron Aminia’s EY3 display keeps speed, battery level and trip information in immediate view. Bluetooth connectivity links the scooter to the Dualtron app on iOS and Android, where compatible settings and ride information can be checked from a phone.
The rest of the equipment is just as purposeful. A front headlight, rear brake light, turn signals, side reflectors and horn cover the essentials for visibility and communication. Illuminated accents give the Aminia a recognisable Dualtron presence after dark without replacing the functional lighting.
When the ride is over, the index-pin folding mechanism secures the handlebar for storage or transport. Together with the compact Special format or the roomier Long Body chassis, these details make the Aminia feel complete rather than stripped back: easy to understand, straightforward to operate and equipped for regular use.
