Description

Dual-motor drive in a compact chassis

The DUALTRON SPIDER MAX puts a 1,200 W nominal motor in each wheel, giving it 2,400 W of combined rated power. Drive is delivered at both wheels for starts and climbs, with the EY4 controls letting you select the riding settings to suit your journey. The manufacturer quotes a maximum climbing gradient of approximately 43% (23°); the result on a particular slope depends on rider weight, battery charge and conditions.

At approximately 31.5 kg, the Spider Max brings this dual-motor setup into a chassis measuring 1,140 mm long. Its rubber-covered deck and raised rear footrest give you room to vary your stance. The scooter is supplied with a 25 km/h* speed restriction; its quoted maximum of up to 80 km/h** applies when unlocked for suitable private-land use.

Two battery options, up to 100 km theoretical range

Choose between a 60 V 27 Ah CN4500 battery and a 60 V 30 Ah battery with Samsung 21700 cells. The 27 Ah version has a theoretical range of approximately 84 km, while the 30 Ah version is listed at up to 100 km. These are maximum reference figures; speed, hills, rider weight, temperature and tyre pressure all affect the distance between charges. The 27 Ah version is available on preorder.

The specified standard charger is rated at 66.4 V 1.75 A. Allow approximately 15 hours 30 minutes for the 27 Ah pack and 17 hours for the 30 Ah pack. An optional compatible 5 A charger offers a shorter charging time of approximately 5 hours 30 minutes or 6 hours respectively, making charging easier to fit around longer rides.

Hydraulic braking at both wheels

Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes use 140 mm rotors, with electric braking assistance supporting the mechanical braking system. Separate levers put each brake within reach of your hands, allowing you to adjust braking pressure as you slow down or approach a turn. The hydraulic circuit carries the lever input to the caliper, where the pads press against the disc.

This gives the Spider Max a complete braking setup at both wheels without a mechanical brake cable to tension. Pads and discs remain serviceable wearing parts, and regular checks help keep lever feel and brake operation consistent. Stopping distance still depends on speed, load, tyre grip and the surface beneath you; the equipment gives you the controls to manage your pace.

Rubber suspension with a replaceable rear cartridge

Rubber suspension at the front and rear helps soften vibration and impacts from uneven surfaces. At the rear, the suspension uses a replaceable cartridge, allowing a different compatible hardness to be fitted to suit rider weight and preferred firmness. The cartridge sits within the rear suspension assembly, keeping this system compact while making the rear spring element replaceable.

The 10 × 2.5-inch pneumatic tyres use inner tubes and add cushioning of their own. Together, tyres and suspension provide compliance without the large external springs found on some other scooters. The chassis has approximately 180 mm of ground clearance and a 900 mm wheelbase. With a maximum rider load of 120 kg, tyre pressure and a suitable suspension setup matter when preparing the scooter for your rides.

Connected controls and a folding frame

The large colour EY4 display keeps speed, battery status and riding information in view. Bluetooth connects it to the Dualtron app on iOS and Android for supported settings and ride information, giving you another way to configure the scooter. The scooter body has an IPX5 resistance rating, with an IPX7 rating for the EY4 display.

A headlight, rear brake lights and turn indicators provide the lighting package, with a horn close to the grips. When it is time to store the scooter, both the steering stem and handlebar grips fold, reducing its dimensions to approximately 1,140 × 220 × 510 mm. Folding reduces the space it occupies, though its approximately 31.5 kg weight still needs to be considered when lifting it into a vehicle or carrying it upstairs.
