ROVORON R7 PRO

With a 900W motor in each wheel, the ROVORON R7 PRO has plenty to draw on when accelerating or tackling a climb. Its 60V drivetrain delivers 1800W of rated power and up to 3300W at peak, with a separate 60V25A controller managing each motor. Aluminium controller housings help dissipate heat when the system is working hard.

You can soften the starting response as you get used to the scooter, then choose the setting that suits you best. The speed limit is adjustable too. It arrives with a 25km/h* factory setting; the stated unlocked maximum is 65km/h** for private-land use.

ROVORON quotes a climbing capability of around 36.4% (20°). Rider weight and conditions affect what it can manage, and prolonged climbs can still trigger the protective ECO mode.

The ROVORON R7 PRO has NUTT hydraulic disc brakes at both wheels, giving you progressive control through the levers. You can build braking force as needed, with hydraulic pressure operating the calipers. The system also removes the cable-tension adjustment needed on the Lite’s mechanical brakes.

EBS lets you choose how strongly the motors assist when slowing down. ABS is controlled separately through the display, so the two settings can be adjusted independently. The manual explains how to set them up.

Pads, discs and the hydraulic system still need regular checks and servicing when required.

The EY3 APP display keeps speed, battery status and riding mode in view. Connect the ROVORON R7 PRO to the compatible Dualtron app to access supported monitoring and settings from your phone.

Both handlebar grips fold, as does the stem. That gives the PRO more storage flexibility than the Lite’s fixed handlebar. Folded dimensions are 1,283 × 331 × 638mm; check the space you have available and how you will handle its approximately 49.6kg weight when lifting.

A headlight, tail and brake lights are joined by indicators, hazard lights, reflectors and RGB stem lighting. You also get a horn, a rear number plate holder and a reinforced kickstand.
