Description

Dualtron Achilleus Limited: dual 1,400 W motors

The Dualtron Achilleus Limited puts a 1,400 W nominal hub motor in each wheel, giving you 2,800 W of combined rated power. Its single- and dual-motor modes let you choose how drive is delivered, while the EY4 controls and Dualtron app provide access to riding settings. The manufacturer quotes a maximum climbing gradient of around 58% (30°), dependent on rider weight, battery charge and conditions.

Choose a black finish or red suspension-arm accents, with either a 35 Ah or 37 Ah battery. Both retain the Achilleus layout: a rubber-covered deck, a raised rear footrest and 11-inch wheels. The scooter is supplied limited to 25 km/h*; its stated maximum of 80 km/h** applies when unlocked for suitable private-land use.

The Dualtron Achilleus Limited is available with two 60 V battery choices: 35 Ah or the 37 Ah version, whose specified nominal capacity is 37.1 Ah. The larger pack costs €100 more in either colour. Both versions are listed at up to 120 km theoretical range. Speed, hills, rider weight, temperature and tyre pressure all influence the distance between charges.

The standard charger is rated at 66.4 V 1.7 A. Allow approximately 21 hours for 35 Ah or 22 hours for 37 Ah when charging from empty; actual times vary with the starting charge and charging conditions. The battery management system monitors overheating, short circuits, over-current, over-discharge and over-charge. This protection operates in the background while the display keeps battery information in view.

NUTT hydraulic brakes with 160 mm discs

NUTT hydraulic disc brakes act at the front and rear, with 160 mm rotors at both wheels. Squeezing each lever transmits pressure through its hydraulic circuit to the caliper, where the pads press against the disc. Separate brake levers put control of both wheels at your hands, so you can progressively adjust pressure as you slow down or approach a turn.

The hydraulic system works alongside electric braking assistance. It avoids the brake-cable tension adjustment associated with mechanical actuation, while pads and rotors remain wearing parts that need inspection. Stopping distance depends on speed, load, tyre grip and the surface beneath you. The 160 mm discs and twin brake circuits give the Achilleus a complete braking setup, with the controls positioned alongside the throttle, lighting switches and horn.

Replaceable suspension and 11-inch tubeless tyres

Rubber suspension cartridges at the front and rear cushion vibration and impacts from uneven surfaces. Compatible replacement cartridges are offered in five hardness grades, allowing the spring element to be matched to rider weight and preferred firmness. The cartridges sit within the suspension assemblies, keeping the layout compact without large exposed coil springs.

The 11-inch wide pneumatic tyres are tubeless, so there is no inner tube inside each wheel. They still need the correct pressure and regular checks for wear or damage. Approximately 210 mm of ground clearance and a 980 mm wheelbase define the chassis layout. The scooter supports a maximum load of 120 kg, with the rubber-covered deck and raised rear footrest providing two surfaces for positioning your feet during a ride.

EY4 connectivity, lighting and a folding frame

The colour EY4 display brings speed, battery status and trip information together above the handlebar. Bluetooth links the Dualtron Achilleus Limited to the Dualtron app on iOS and Android for supported riding settings and vehicle information. After theft protection is enabled and ownership authenticated, the app also provides an unlocking function. A headlight, rear brake lighting, turn indicators and a horn provide the equipment for seeing ahead and communicating your presence and intentions.

Both the stem and handlebar grips fold, reducing the dimensions to approximately 1,270 × 280 × 580 mm. This reduces the space required for storage or vehicle transport, although the approximately 41.7 kg weight still matters when lifting it. The body is rated IPX5: water resistance is limited, and water damage is excluded from warranty coverage. Avoid immersion and pressure washing, and let the scooter dry before charging.
