Dual-motor power in a SCUTI best seller

A SCUTI best seller, the Thunder 3 uses two 2,500 W hub motors for 5,000 W combined nominal power and up to 10,800 W peak output. It comes limited to 25 km/h; the quoted 100 km/h** maximum is for unrestricted use on private land and depends on conditions.

The 72V42.2Ah LG/Samsung battery stores approximately 3,038 Wh. The theoretical range is up to 130 km. Speed, rider weight, gradients, temperature and tyre pressure affect your distance between charges.

Allow approximately 28 hours with the standard 1.5 A charger. Optional compatible 5 A charging takes roughly 8.5 hours, or about 4.25 hours with two compatible 5 A chargers through the two ports. Times vary with starting charge and charging conditions.

NUTT hydraulic brakes with 160 mm discs

Front and rear NUTT hydraulic brakes act on 160 mm discs. Four-piston calipers use an integrated cooling design. Separate brake levers let you control the front and rear braking individually, while hydraulic pressure transfers your lever input to the pads at each wheel.

The large discs and calipers are only part of the braking system: tyre grip, road surface and rider input also affect how the scooter slows down. Pads and discs wear with use, so regular checks matter. Follow the manual’s inspection and servicing instructions, including any work on the hydraulic circuit.

EY4 controls, lighting and reinforced folding

The central approximately 4.2-inch EY4 LCD shows speed, battery information and riding mode. Bluetooth connects it to the Dualtron app on iOS and Android. The 700 mm handlebar keeps the controls within reach.

Twin headlights, rear and brake lighting, turn signals, warning lights and a horn complete the equipment. The manufacturer lists IPX5 protection for the scooter and IPX7 for the EY4 display.

A quick-release lever and safety latches secure the reinforced folding system. The handlebars fold too, with a hook to secure them to the footrest. The scooter weighs approximately 51.2 kg.

Adjustable suspension and included steering damper

Front and rear rubber suspension lets the swingarms move over changes in the road surface. Different gasket thicknesses adjust the cartridge response, giving you a way to tailor the setup to your preferences.

The included directional steering damper adds resistance to handlebar movement. Wide 11-inch run-flat tyres complete the chassis; the manual specifies 50 PSI tyre pressure, an approximately 970 mm wheelbase and 180 mm ground clearance.

The maximum load is 120 kg. Check tyre pressure, moving joints and the steering and folding locks regularly, and follow the manual for suspension adjustment. Unfolded dimensions are 1270×700×1355mm; folding reduces them to 1270×320×590mm.
