Description

Two motors for routes with more climbing

A 450 W motor in each wheel gives the INMOTION CLIMBER 900 W of rated power, with a manufacturer-stated combined peak of 1,500 W. Both wheels provide drive, with motor output available at the front and rear for starts and climbs. The thumb throttle puts acceleration under your right hand, while the dashboard lets you select the riding mode to suit your route.

INMOTION rates climbing capability at up to approximately 36% (about 20°), measured with a 75 kg load and an 80% battery charge. Rider weight, battery level and the length of the climb all matter when assessing a particular hill. The scooter is supplied with a 25 km/h speed limit, with a quoted maximum of 38 km/h** for suitable private-land use.

533 Wh battery with cell monitoring and balancing

The 36 V 14.7 Ah battery stores approximately 533 Wh, using Samsung 21700 cells. INMOTION quotes a range of approximately 56 km under the manual’s test conditions: a 75 kg load, 25°C, tyres at 3.5 bar and a constant 18 km/h on a flat road. That gives a reference for planning your rides; speed, gradients, temperature and repeated starts will change the distance available on your own route.

Allow approximately nine hours for a full charge with the specified 42 V 2 A charger. The Smart BMS monitors the battery and provides protection against overcharging, excessive discharge, overheating, overcurrent, overvoltage and short circuits. Cell balancing helps keep the pack’s cells at similar charge levels, while the dashboard’s battery indicator gives you a quick view of remaining charge.

Rear disc braking and split-rim pneumatic tyres

A mechanical disc brake at the rear works alongside electronic braking on both motors. One handlebar lever operates the braking system, keeping the control within reach as you release the throttle and slow down. The rear disc supplies mechanical braking force, while the electronic system adds braking at the driven wheels. Regular checks of the disc, pads and cable help keep the mechanical brake working as intended.

The 10-inch pneumatic tyres use extra-thick inner tubes for cushioning and additional resistance to punctures. With no suspension fitted, the air-filled tyres provide the chassis’s main cushioning, making tyre pressure an important part of the setup. Split motor rims make access to the tyre and inner tube more straightforward when replacement is needed, a practical detail for ongoing maintenance.

Folding frame, clear controls and connected settings

At approximately 20.8 kg, the CLIMBER combines its dual-motor layout with a folding frame rated for a maximum load of 130 kg. The stem folds towards the deck and secures at the rear, reducing the dimensions from 1165 × 570 × 1195 mm to 1165 × 570 × 550 mm. This lowers its storage height for a cupboard or vehicle boot, although its weight still needs consideration when lifting or carrying it.

The dashboard shows speed, riding mode and battery level, with further ride information, battery status and a software lock available through the INMOTION app on iOS and Android. Current versions include turn indicators for signalling changes of direction, alongside the headlight, rear light with brake-light function and reflectors. A bell at the handlebar provides an audible signal. The scooter’s stated body resistance rating is IP56.
