DUALTRON SONIC MODELO A (ALIEN)

The Dualtron Sonic Model A, codenamed ALIEN, takes the place traditionally occupied by the Thunder: a road-going flagship built around serious power, but redesigned as part of Dualtron’s new Sonic platform. Two 2,500 W nominal hub motors provide 5,000 W combined nominal power, while their combined maximum output reaches 11,200 W for short bursts.

The manufacturer states a maximum speed of 110 km/h** when unlocked for private-land use. On public roads, the delivered configuration remains restricted according to local regulations. The quoted 70% climbing capability reflects the reserve behind the headline figures, particularly when gradients, load or rolling resistance increase.

What distinguishes the ALIEN is how that performance is organised. One-touch Turbo temporarily raises controller output for demanding moments, while traction control and the 72 V architecture help turn the available power into a more deliberate, manageable response.

Power of this level needs braking and chassis hardware that remain predictable under pressure. The ALIEN uses NUTT four-piston hydraulic callipers with 160 mm discs, linked CBS braking, EBS electronic braking assistance and ABS. The combined system coordinates mechanical and electronic braking to provide strong, progressive control.

Front and rear interchangeable suspension cartridges use adjustable gaskets to tune the response, while an adjustable steering damper is fitted as standard. Eleven-inch runflat tyres add a broad contact patch, and approximately 180 mm of ground clearance gives the chassis useful room over ramps and imperfect surfaces.

The wheels, hubs and motors use a modular layout so key parts can be removed independently. Together with the high-efficiency modular controller and motor-cooling system, that design makes maintenance more direct without sacrificing the ALIEN’s substantial, planted character.
