Description

Comfort that changes the feel of the V9

Some wheels feel light and lively on a perfect surface, then become tiring as soon as the ground gets rough. The V9 approaches it differently. Its Nimbus Air system gives 60 mm of travel, enough to soften sharp joints, uneven paving and sudden drops without turning the wheel into something vague or disconnected.

Because the air spring can be adjusted to the rider, the V9 can be set up for a more supportive or more supple feel. Add the 16 × 3 inch tyre and you get a compact wheel that stays calm through changing surfaces, keeps better contact and asks less of your legs over time.

It is the kind of suspension that encourages smooth inputs and a relaxed stance, rather than asking you to brace for every jolt.

Power with useful headroom

On paper, 1,000 W nominal and 2,000 W peak may sound modest beside much larger wheels. In real riding, the point is not a headline figure but the margin it leaves. The V9 can draw on that peak reserve when rolling resistance changes, a gradient rises or a manoeuvre needs a firmer response.

That reserve is part of safety. A motor that is not continually pushed to its limit has more room to maintain its behaviour when demands pile up. The 90 N·m torque figure adds useful pull at low speed, while the Raptor M controller manages the power delivery with a calmer, more predictable character.

It is a compact wheel, but it does not feel caught out as quickly when the situation asks more of it.

A 750 Wh pack built around quality cells

The 750 Wh, 20S2P pack uses Samsung 21700 50GB cells, a sensible choice for energy density and output in this size. INMOTION quotes up to 60 km of range, but the real result will naturally move with rider weight, temperature, terrain and pace.

Good battery design is more than a capacity figure. Smart BMS monitoring watches over the pack in the background, while the 84 V architecture works with the controller to preserve a consistent response through the discharge cycle. Standard charging takes around five hours; compatible fast-charging equipment can shorten the wait.

It is a practical size for riders who want a meaningful reserve without the bulk of a much larger battery pack.

Easy to live with after the ride

A suspension wheel only feels practical if it does not become a burden the moment you step off. At around 24 kg, the V9 remains manageable for its class. Its long integrated trolley handle and lift sensor make it easier to guide, store and load when you are not standing on the pedals.

RideConnect keeps routine information close at hand through the INMOTION app, with remote-locking and location features available when needed. An adaptive headlight, rear lighting and customisable LightPulse side LEDs complete a package that feels considered once the ride is over as well as while it is underway.

It is this everyday ergonomics, more than a single spec-sheet number, that makes a compact suspension wheel feel genuinely useful.
